The sampling conditions for Beijing flue gas sampling tubes are generally harsh and may encounter high temperatures, cold and humid environments. In such cases, attention must be paid to personal safety and the safe use of the instrument.

Beijing flue gas sampling tubes are used in the following ways.

1. In the event of strong static electricity, the hookah and main body should be earthed and the instrument should be placed away from the sun. On hot or humid ground, insulation and moisture-proof materials can be laid to avoid excessive temperatures affecting the use of the instrument.

2. Anti-static and anti-interference capabilities should be considered in the design of the instrument wherever possible. In the case of strong static electricity and high interference environment, it may also cause some interference to the use of the instrument. In this case, the temperature measuring rod or moisture sensor should be unplugged.

3. When sampling on site, the connected host power supply must ensure 220 volts 50 Hz AC (except for the DC power supply box).

4. The DC power bank should be equipped with a charge every 3 months, with a charging time of not less than 5 hours.

5. When the pump is used for about 500 hours continuously, care should be taken to clean it. Set the flow rate of the pump to 30L/min, pour a little alcohol into the cleaning port and run for 5 minutes.

Notes on the Beijing flue gas sampling tube

1. Tracking efficiency.

Under normal circumstances the tracking efficiency is at least 95%. If it is less than 95%, find out the reason.

2. After each sampling, the sampling gun should be reversed 180 degrees, and the sampling gun should be removed immediately after stopping.

3. Asphalt fume sampling. Asphalt fumes contain a variety of toxic substances, sampling analysts should pay attention to their own protection and operational safety. After collecting a high concentration of bituminous fumes from the sampling tube, the sample should be cleaned thoroughly with cyclohexane or other solvents and then reused. Asphalt fume samples are volatile and should be processed and analysed in a timely manner. Sample storage should be provided with a dedicated desiccator and the cartridge containing the sample and the unused cartridge should be placed in separate desiccators. Samples should be destroyed after testing.

4. The Beijing fume sampling tube needs to be fitted with a fume lance and a fume filter cartridge. When sampling, it is said that the grease lance is connected to the pipe and a clean grease filter cartridge is placed into the lance. After sampling, the canister collecting the oil smoke should be immediately transferred to a Teflon cleaning cup and the lid should be closed. The sample should be measured and calculated as specified. Samples cannot be measured within 24 hours but can be stored in a refrigerator freezer for up to 7 days.
